PALM RIVER – AREA 4
The Palm River Area 4 project replaces the existing potable water infrastructure and provides a new sewer system to residents of the Cocohatchee River Estates, an area on the west side of Palm River. This area consists of 24 single-family residential lots that extend to the middle of the existing roadways (Cocohatchee Boulevard and Cocohatchee Drive). This area is served potable water by Collier County Public Utilities, but there is no existing sanitary sewer infrastructure. Currently, each residence is served by a private septic system.
As part of the improvements, the existing water main will be grouted and replaced with a new PVC water main and services. Existing septic tank systems will be abandoned in place and a new force main system will be installed by horizontal directional drilling. This work may need to take place on private property and permission from the owner will be obtained, as necessary. All driveways will be restored to their previous condition or better and all roads will be rebuilt. This project will ensure a continued high level of utility service for the community.
